Airsoft Pistols brands often sound familiar because they are the made by the same brand names as the guns they are made to look like.

Here are some airsoft pistol brands:

  1. DAISY
Started out as the Plymouth Windmill Company. The “Chicago” metal air riffle that they made specifically to be given as a premium item when a windmill was purchased drew more interest than the windmills that they were selling. Changed its name to Daisy Manufacturing Company in 1895. In 1958, the company moved from Plymouth, Michigan to Rogers, Arkansas. Daisy has always produced quality airsoft guns and is well known in the industry. Daisy has been known for their 4-H shooting sports programs, National Guard Junior Marksmanship Program, and safe shooting programs.
  2. BEEMAN
Leader in adult airsoft pistols. Quality well made airsoft guns. The receiver cap on a Beeman is made of milled stainless steel. Other quality features is that the safeties are made of steel, the trigger is made of machined metal, the trigger guards are precision casted from solid metal. Most of their cocking levers are solid one-piece steel. Beeman manufactures BB’s, has a shooting team, has a gunsmith facility, and supports physically disabled athletes.
  3. CROSMAN
Started out as the Crosman Arms Company in 1923. With some national accounts like Sears Roebuck & Co, Montgomery Ward, and Western Auto, the company grew quickly. In 1966 Crosman introduced the first Crosman brand airgun, the Crosman Pumpmaster 760, which it still offers today. Crosman focuses on being a leader for entry-level airsoft guns, including airsoft pistols. Currently the Crosman Corporation is an international designer, manufacture, and marketer of Crosman pellets, BB’s, airsoft rifles and pistols, and accessories.
  4. SMITH & WESSON
Horace Smith learned about firearms while working at the National Armory in Massachusetts and Daniel Wesson gained experience as an apprentice for his brother Edwin Wesson. In 1852 the two men joined in their first partnership. Financial difficulties caused them to sell the company and their repeating pistol to Oliver Winchester. The second partnership in 1856 did better with the patent of the first ever fully self-contained cartridge revolver.
  5. GAMO
Started out in Barcelona, Spain and was known as Antoio Casas, S.A. in the late 1880’s. Gamo is an international company with very strict quality control guidelines for their products. Gamo produces and inspects all of its components of their products like airsoft pistols. Gamo also makes all its own metal parts. 6. WEBLEY
Was founded in the late 18th century by William Davies in England. It was later taken over by his son-in-law. In 1897 the company was known as the Wesley and Scott Revolver and Arms Company of Birmingham. In 1924 after sales dropped from the passing of the Firearms Act in the UK in 1920 (handguns became limited in availability to civilians) they began producing airguns like the airsoft pistol.

Most airsoft pistol brands have a range of products and prices for the beginner who is entering into the sport of airgun shooting to the established and experienced airgun shooter who is able to spend high dollars to get the best that is available.
